Playlist Microinteractions
Client: Self Study
Timeline: 1 week
Software: Adobe XD, Photoshop
Overview:
This was a personal project of mine, with the goal being to design a simple playlist interface. I used two of my favorite musicians for inspiration on the playlist themes, as well as some pieces from Spotify and Pandora I felt were effectige. I incorporated several microinteractions to elevate the product into a more immersive experience.
Goals
Create an interface with effective and subtle microinteractions
Challenge myself with a dark mode design
Incorporate some of my favorite musicians into a clean and simple design
Process:
The initial process was a combination of sketching some wireframes, in conjuction with visualizing how the interactions would occur. Once I had a basic idea of these two elements I was able to draw a low-fidelity wireframe.
Once the low-fi wireframe was complete, I started first on designing the layout, and added the microinteractions last.
Below is a video of the clickable prototype. I think the end result was a great excersize in design restraint and the effectiveness of microinteractions!
